Designing a logo for a startup is a crucial step in creating a unique and memorable brand. If your startup is named LOOKAPEDIA, the idea of incorporating the image of the founder - Luca - through wordplay sounds captivating.
Idea
At the heart of the logo will be an image of a boy wearing glasses, representing Luca, the chief ideologist behind the LOOKAPEDIA platform. This image reflects the core idea of the project - education and knowledge - while also adding a personal touch and human dimension to the platform.
I embarked on the logo design journey by starting with simple sketches, aiming to incorporate a portrait of the boy into the logo.
Following the sketches, I started to bolden the lines and experiment with both the portrait and the typography.
Colors
I chose blue and cool green colors for the logo. Blue is associated with reliability and professionalism, while cool green symbolizes refreshment and learning. I specifically incorporated the green color because the boy in the logo reminded me of Harry Potter, and I decided to emphasize green, particularly in his eyes, as green eyes are a symbol of wizards.
